Ingredients
  

  • 2 fresh cherry peppers finely chopped
  • 1 medium onion finely diced
  • ½ cup white vinegar
  • ½ cup red wine vinegar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons red pepper flakes
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Prepare Ingredients: Start by finely chopping the cherry peppers and dicing the onion into small, even pieces. If you like a milder relish, feel free to remove the seeds from the peppers to reduce the heat.
  • Combine Ingredients: In a medium saucepan, add the chopped cherry peppers, diced onion, white vinegar, red wine vinegar, and sugar. Stir everything together well until the sugar dissolves completely.
  • Add Seasonings: Now, add the red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper to the mix. Stir it all up and bring the mixture to a gentle boil over medium-high heat. Stir occasionally to make sure the ingredients are well blended.
  • Boil and Simmer: Once the mixture starts to boil, reduce the heat to medium-low and let it simmer for about 15 minutes. Stir it frequently, and keep an eye on the mixture as the liquid thickens and reduces. The relish should be thick enough to spread but not too dry.
