Ingredients
  

For the Beef

  • 1 lb 450g flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
  • ½ cup cornstarch
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying

For the Sauce

  • ¼ cup honey
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp sesame oil optional for extra flavor

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Beef: Slice the beef into thin strips against the grain. Pat it dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  • Coat the Beef: In a bowl, mix cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Toss the beef strips in the cornstarch mixture, making sure they are evenly coated.
  • Fry the Beef: Heat vegetable oil in a large frying pan or wok over medium-high heat. Fry the beef in batches for 2-3 minutes, until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  • Make the Sauce: In a small saucepan, combine honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and water. Bring to a simmer over medium heat for 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens. Add sesame oil if using.
  • Combine and Toss: Add the crispy beef to the sauce and toss to coat evenly. Let it simmer for 1-2 minutes to allow the sauce to absorb into the beef.
  • Serve: Serve immediately over steamed rice, noodles, or vegetables. Enjoy the crispy, sweet, and savory goodness!
